(iiいイ)-adjectives are a class of adjectives that end with the hiragana character (iiいイ) in their dictionary form. They are used to describe the state or quality of nouns. Common examples include (takaitakaiたかいタカイ), (yasuiyasuiやすいヤスイ), and (omoshiroiomosiroiおもしろいオモシロイ).
01
How to Use い-Adjectives
(iiいイ)-adjectives can be used in two main ways: directly before a noun, or at the end of a sentence to describe the subject.
1. Modifying a Noun
When an (iiいイ)-adjective modifies a noun, it is placed directly before it. The adjective's form does not change.

2. Ending a Sentence (Predicative Use)
When used at the end of a sentence, the (iiいイ)-adjective acts as the predicate, describing the sentence's subject. Unlike English, it does not require a verb like "to be". The copula (dadaだダ) is never used with (iiいイ)-adjectives. For politeness, (desudesuですデス) can be added directly after the adjective.
