    Let's go home.

  • Đi uống cà phê đi.

02

Urging and Encouraging Actions

When addressing a second person ("you"), adding at the end of a verb creates an imperative. However, unlike a strict order, adds an encouraging or urging tone. It implies "Go ahead and do it" or "Do it now."

Without , a single verb can sound blunt or rude. Adding this particle makes the command sound more natural and friendly in daily conversation.

Distinguishing from the Verb 'To Go'

It is important to distinguish the particle (at the end of a sentence) from the main verb (meaning to go).
