Delete Your Account

This page explains how to delete your account in Lingora Language Courses, the language-learning app published by Alexander Stebner. You can request deletion directly from inside the app, or by contacting us by email.

Delete from inside the app

  1. Open Lingora Language Courses.
  2. Tap the gear icon () in the top-right corner of the home screen to open Settings.
  3. Tap Account Settings.
  4. Tap Manage Account.
  5. Choose one of:
    • Deactivate Account — you are signed out, and your account is automatically removed from our backend after 30 days if you do not log in again. Logging back in within those 30 days reactivates the account.
    • Delete Account Permanently — after a confirmation dialog, your account and associated data are removed from our backend immediately.

Delete by email

You can also email support@stebtech.com from the email address registered to your account to request immediate deletion. We may ask for additional information to confirm your identity before processing the request.

What data is deleted

When your account is deleted (either immediately, or at the end of the 30-day deactivation period), the following data is permanently removed from our backend:

  • Your account record — email address, display name, locale, and authentication credentials;
  • Your study progress — completed lessons, word and sentence statistics, streaks, and gem balance;
  • Your profile and social data — avatar, friends list, friend requests, and activity feed entries;
  • Your in-app preferences and settings;
  • Your subscription records held by Lingora.

What data is retained

  • During a 30-day deactivation: your account data is retained on our backend so that you can recover the account by logging back in. After 30 days with no login, all of the data listed above is removed.
  • After permanent deletion or after the 30-day deactivation window: no personal data is retained.
  • Anonymized analytics: aggregated and anonymized analytics data that no longer identifies you (for example, country-level usage counts) may be retained indefinitely, as described in our Privacy Policy.

A note on subscriptions

Deleting your Lingora account does not automatically cancel an active subscription billed through Apple In-App Purchase or Google Play Billing. To stop further charges, please cancel your subscription separately through your Apple ID or Google Play account before deleting your Lingora account.
